Once a upon a time their was a taniwha that  lived in the bush of Taharou. He was a mean taniwha because he like to eat all the people and terrorise  all the kids of Taharou. No one would go near the bush at night because of the mean taniwha. But the mean taniwha wasn’t really mean. He just was lonely because he had no friends to  play with. One night a  boy called Jack and his sister Rose went for a walk in the bush. They heard a noise in the lake, then they saw a glimpse of light. They saw a large arm on the bank.  Jack went to go and touch the arm. They heard a voice. The voice said “Do you want to play?”
“Yes, of course,” said Jack and Rose.  “We will play with you.” But then the taniwha ate them.
